FILTRATION

Drop

Drop offers reliable solutions in the modern irrigation sector through a wide range of filtration systems.

Before designing an irrigation system you should carefully consider that efficient and reliable filtration is mandatory for a successful operation. Each application demands a unique type of filter. The DROP website will be your advisor for choosing the most appropriate one among our wide range of products , which includes screen filters, disk filters, media filters, fertilizer tanks, automatic and self-cleaning systems. Complete systems can be manufactured upon request, in order to fullfil your needs in any filtration or irrigation situation.

Media Filters | X Series

Media filters X Series through their three dimensional structure can remove large amounts of mainly organic materials. They can be installed as singles or in batteries and can be back-washed manually or automatically.

Back-up filters (screen or disc) should be installed downstream to media filters to prevent irrigation system from clogging, if any failure occurs.

Disk Filters | D Series

Disk filters D Series can be used for both inorganic and organic materials. They consist of a stack of grooved plastic disks placed on a telescopic shaft. Filtration fineness depends on the dimensions of grooves, where particles are trapped.

They can be installed as singles or in batteries and can be cleaned manually or automatically.

On manual disk filters, housing is removed, shaft is expanded to separate the disks, which are cleaned by rinsing them thoroughly with clean water.

On automatic disk filters (self-cleaning filters), the disk stack is loosened during backwash and filtered water from the nozzle system inside, forces the disks to rotate, removing all the trapped particles from the grooves.

Hydrocyclones | Y Series

Hydrocyclones or sand separators Y Series are used for the removal of large amount of sand and other fine solids and offer, under certain circumstances, high performance (>90%) in the retention of particles.

Drop

Usually installed as primary filters before screen filters, self-cleaning disc or sand media filters, to retain sand particles, avoiding clogging of main filtration system.

DROP is certified with International Standards ISO 9001 (Quality Assurance) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System).

A Maximum Performance of Agricultural Installations

The use of irrigation in Agriculture has given rise to a great increase in the world food production in the last few decades. The increase in population and the lack of water has obliged growers to use the drip irrigation systems, which allows them to take a maximum advantage of water resources and, at the same time, provides the correct doses of nutrients in each plant to achieve the optimum performance.

Azud

These installations should be protected by filtration systems in order to eliminate particles in suspension that clog their drip outlets, and therefore paralyse the fertirrigation system. AZUD's Agriculture Division masters these techniques and everything related to agricultural installations. Hence, we assess our clients' needs with a clear objective in mind: i.e. to achieve the maximum performance for their crops.

This Division is also in charge of the research in new technologies that deal with water management. It coordinates with international Universities and Research Centres at an international level, including researches on water reuse, subsurface irrigation applications, etc.
