Tasaco Agricultural Industry and Trade Inc.
is a member of "Doktor Tarsa Agricultural Industry and Trade Inc." company group. Tasaco Agricultural is a seed and production company.
It has been established in 1996 and started its business by producing chips corn.
Its seed business is on following:
- Wheat seeds
- Rice seeds
- Feed crop seeds
- Vegetable seeds
- Flower seeds
Tasaco Agricultural has registered 3 durum wheat varieties, 3 bread wheat varieties and 1 biscuit wheat variety to the commercial list. Compare to other private establishments, It is the most successful company on wheat production. It is producing 35% of private establishments production and 45% of registered varieties of private establishments production. Sagittario can be grown on the entire coast from Mardin to Tekirdağ, in Turkey. It is appreciated by producers and industrialists with its quality and productivity. In 2005, it has been raised to first class with its high quality. Sagittario variety has solved the quality problems in Turkey and there started to be no need to import wheat.
Tasaco Agricultural has also registered 2 rice varieties, 1 clover variety and 25 vegetable varieties to the commercial list.
As Tasaco Agricultural we are also working on Hungarian vetch, common vetch and clover seeds. Our clover variety called Prosementi has been appreciated with its productivity and high quality. Its market is also getting bigger every year.
Tasaco Agricultural has another working area on projected crop production.
We are producing 9.000 tone chips corn per year. The storage is done under the guarantee of food security program with a certificate of international inspection company called AIB.
Corn production is done in Mersin and Adana after signing an agreement ith producers.
On the other hand, Tasaco Agricultural has another Project on production of durum wheat which is high in quality. According to our agreement with Italian Barilla Company, we produce 8000 tone durum wheat per year-which is high in quality- in Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa and Mardin by using the seeds of registered Svevo variety (which is certificated and then produced by Tasaco Agricultural) with an agreement signed with the producers. Tasaco Agricultural is planning to improve this project in the next years to make Turkey an exporter of durum wheat.
ESTABLISHMENTS
In Yenice town of Tarsus district/Mersin province we have 16.000 tone vertical wheat and corn silos and 3.000 tone horizontal seeds warehouse. Investments are still being made to increase the storage capacity.
We have modern establishments, in order to prepare seeds, which have 5 tone/hour capacity.
Besides that we also have establishments to clean chip corns which have capacity of 120 tones per hour.

Fupas is a specialized company, which is a part of DRT group of companies focused in young tree, young plant and Fruit growing business areas. Fupas is based in Antalya.
Around 40 Production Station affiliated to Ministry of Agriculture has been privatized through leasing based on projects including activities with accuracy.
Mülga Düzce Fruit Growing Production Station has been rented to FUPAS based on the notification declared by Ministry of Agriculture and ministry of Finance. FUPAS has been put in working order since March 2004.
Targets
- Certificated young trees production as in there accurate name (only 25% of young tree production in Turkey is certificated).
- Virus free young tree production.
- To increase the existing capacity from 40.000 to 200.000 and as a second step to 400.000.
- Production of virus free clone rootstock for dwarf and semi dwarf fruit trees.
- To establish aşı gözü damızlıkları from acceptable varieties in local and international markets. To supply the demand for aşı gözü ve klon anacı of nurseries in Düzce and Fupas with these damızlıklar.
- Providing turn key major fruit orchard projects (young trees, drip irrigation systems, fertilizers, fertilization programs).
- Organizing marketable fruit production and exporting with contractual production.
